About Me

Welcome to Humantix People Solutions. I’m Helen, the founder, and I’m delighted to share a little about me and the thinking behind the business.

I established Humantix People Solutions to use my professional HR expertiseto support organisations of all sizes to realise the real, tangible value that great HR can bring — not only to their people, but to their performance and bottom line. By combining strategic HR leadership with strong commercial awareness, I’m able to provide clear, practical advice and support across a wide range of people challenges and leadership contexts

My move into HR was not a traditional one. Over 13 years ago, while working as an operations manager, I found myself increasingly frustrated by the lack of commerciality in the HR support available at the time. After sharing these frustrations with my line manager the time, I was given the best advice I think I have ever received: “If you want to make change, Helen, be the change you want to see.” This moment led to me finding my passion, Human Resources!.

 I feel extremely fortunate that I have been able to build a broad and successful HR career working with organisations across multiple sectors during periods of significant growth, change and complexity. I’ve held senior roles at Director and Executive Director level and continue to maintain an active portfolio of non‑executive and trustee role.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) — the highest level of professional HR accreditation — and a qualified strategic coaching practitioner with the Institute of Leadership & Management. I am also a certified MBTI Level 2 practitioner. My experience spans sectors including housing, utilities, retail, luxury goods and construction, enabling me to bring a commercial, risk‑aware and pragmatic perspective to every organisation and leader I support.

 Throughout my career, I’ve led major transformation programmes, including post‑merger integration, large‑scale organisational redesign, culture and performance improvement, and workforce strategy development across multi‑site and multi‑disciplinary environments. I’m known for bringing clarity, calm leadership and sound judgement to complex situations, particularly where decisions carry significant people, reputational or regulatory risk.

I take great pride in delivering practical, business‑focused HR support. My approach is grounded and thoughtful, avoiding unnecessary jargon or theoretical models that don’t translate into real outcomes. I work closely with leaders to understand their context, challenge constructively where needed, and support confident, well‑judged decisions that balance ambition with long‑term sustainability.
